For aspiring entrepreneurs in India, especially those looking for practical, structured and affordable training, the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) is often one of the first names that come up. As an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, NIESBUD has been offering entrepreneurship-related training for several decades.
However, with an increasing number of private institutes, online courses, and startup accelerators emerging across India, it becomes important to evaluate what NIESBUD actually offers, how its programmes are structured, and whether they are suitable for today’s early-stage entrepreneurs. This article provides a neutral, balanced review of its entrepreneurship courses.
